As a Senior Data Analytics Engineer, you will be a key contributor in our Data Solutions squad. You will create and maintain scalable data assets and products that power our applications and drive business value. While your primary focus is on data analytics engineering, you will also leverage some data science techniques when needed.
Reporting Structure:
You will join a dedicated team of 5, making you the 6th team member
You will work under the guidance of a Team Lead in Data Analytics Engineering
Data Asset Ownership:Β Be accountable for developing and maintaining data assets and data solutions built on large volumes of location signals, geographical (places) data, and audience attribute data, according to defined SLAs and to time and budget
Pipeline Development & Deployment:Β Design, develop, and deploy robust data transformation pipelines using latest data analytics engineering technology
Technical Leadership & Mentorship:Β Lead and mentor junior team members, sharing your expertise and best practices in data analytics and data analytics engineering
Innovative Data Solutions:Β Conduct R&D to keep Adsquare at the forefront of data innovation in adtech. Compute descriptive statistics, develop KPIs, and build statistical models on large datasets
Data Monitoring & Dashboards:Β Create live monitoring dashboards to support product development and strategic decision-making, ensuring data solutions are properly monitored and maintained
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:Β Communicate with stakeholders, work closely with cross-functional teams to refine and enhance data solutions, always balancing cost efficiency and high-value output
Experience: 4 to 6 years as a Data Analytics Engineer or similar relevant experience
Technical Skills:
Strong proficiency in Python (including libraries such as pandas and numpy) and experience with tools like FastAPI, streamlit, jupyter, and PySpark
Proven hands-on expertise with dbt is essential
Solid knowledge of SQL, databases, and BI tools (e.g., Tableau or similar)
Experience handling large datasets (from 100s of GBs to many TB) including tabular, geo-spatial, and behavioral data
Familiarity with big data technologies and data warehouses (e.g., Athena, DataBricks, Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery) in conjunction with dbt
Experience with the AWS stack (Glue, Athena, Redshift, Lambda, Batch, StepFunctions) and modern LLM AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Ollama, Claude, Gemini) to enhance coding efficiency
Solid foundation in computer science principles, including data structures and algorithms, with a focus on data analytics engineering, databases, data analysis, descriptive statistics, ideally also on inferential statistics and probability theory
Ideally, experience with deploying infrastructure via Terraform and using Kubernetes
Master's Degree or PhD in a relevant quantitative empirical science field (e.g. Social Sciences, Psychology, Neuroscience, Physics, Statistics, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics) or equivalent practical experience
