The Data Management Assistant, Summer 2026 will be responsible for data hygiene and quality control across various performance technology systems and the Athlete Management System (AMS) at IMG Academy.  

  

Position Responsibilities 

  • Assist with developing and deploying best practice performance data solutions of a large and diverse Academy of 1600+ student athletes across eleven sports.
  • Ensure administration data within current systems is accurate and accounted for including student-athlete profiles, roles, positions, teams/groups are properly assigned across various systems to ensure data accuracy. 

  • Develop AMS onboarding protocols for the sports (student-athletes and coaches) to ensure efficient processes moving forward. 

  • Conduct specific data audits and data cleaning projects.  

  • Assist to assemble normative and benchmark performance data to enable the monitoring and reporting of student-athlete development and performance. 

  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethic codes. 

  • Other duties as assigned. 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 

  • Bachelor’s degree (or near completion) in sport science, data science, statistics, epidemiology or related field. 
  • Previous experience in data management and cleaning from multiple sources with strong statistical knowledge to generate actionable insights.  
  • Ability to generate both high level data visualizations and applied reports depending on target audience. 

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills with colleagues, sport coaches, and athletes. 

  • Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple projects and ability to work collaboratively. 

  • Excellent presentation skills and written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills 

  • Previous experience using, or strong understanding of, sport technology (i.e. force plates, dynamometers, timing gates, etc.).
  • Previous experience in AI technologies, prompt engineering, and building/using agent skills
  • Pursuing or have a Master’s degree in sport science, data science, statistics, epidemiology or related field. 

  • Previous experience managing AMS platforms (Teamworks AMS) or building AMS like web apps (Shiny or Streamlit preferred)

  • CPSS certification or equivalent. 

  • Experience aggregating data at the collegiate or pro level 

Physical Demands and Work Environment 

  • Ability to lift, move, push and pull equipment or boxes in excess of 10lbs 
  • Should be able to work at a desk for extended periods
