Organization Overview: Coach Across America

Coach Across America ensures every child has a coach who believes in them, no matter their background. We recruit and train coach mentors, partnering with schools and organizations across the country to place coaches where they’re needed most, building resilience and leadership among youth. The CAA Data Collection and Monitoring VISTA plays a key role in strengthening these efforts by improving data systems, ensuring that program impact is tracked, and helping us make data-driven decisions that enhance community outcomes. In this VISTA role, you will coordinate the administration of program surveys, develop standardized data collection protocols, and support staff and local site partners in tracking and submitting impact data. You’ll also have the opportunity to expand your skills in data management and project coordination. We are looking for a candidate who is excited to dig into data, develop efficient processes, and make a measurable difference. A passion for data-driven solutions is key, and while an interest in sports is always a plus, what matters most is your commitment to creating positive change.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Data Collection & Monitoring VISTA will increase effectiveness through improved consistency in data collection across the organization, increased survey participation rates, and sustainable systems for monitoring and managing impact data. They will organize and maintain accurate data logs, support integration of systems like Excel and Salesforce, and create user-friendly guides and standard operating procedures to support data entry and reporting. They’ll help improve efficiency by identifying tools and processes that strengthen data integrity. The VISTA will also track data collection timelines, monitor site progress, and ensure surveys stay on schedule. In collaboration with staff and consultants, they’ll align data collection efforts with program goals and evaluation needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Coursework in research methods, statistics, or program evaluation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, sociology, public health, education, or a related field.
