As a Staff Data Analyst, you will play a leading individual contributor (IC) role in shaping Entrixโs analytics strategy, driving cross-functional alignment, and amplifying business impact through data. While you wonโt manage people directly, you will act as a technical leader, mentor, and trusted advisor, guiding others through expertise, collaboration, and influence.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead product & market analytics: Analyze trading algorithm performance, market behavior, and system optimization to drive measurable business impact and enhance overall product performance.
Drive strategic insights:ย Partner with leadership on data-driven decision-making, providing actionable recommendations that shape Entrixโs product roadmap and business priorities.
Mentor & lead: Guide and support analysts and peers through mentorship and technical leadership, fostering a culture of analytical excellence without formal people management
Align cross-functional analytics: Coordinate analytics efforts across teams, ensuring consistent methodologies, clear ownership, and effective collaboration across product, engineering, data science, and commercial domains.
Enable data-driven learning: Develop and maintain analytics frameworks, KPIs, and tooling. Ensure insights are embedded into processes, promoting continuous learning and operational excellence.
Mandatory Requirements:
Degree in Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, or a similar quantitative field.
7+ years of experienceย as a data analyst, data scientist, or researcher, ideally within energy, trading, or SaaS sectors.
Deep expertise in energy markets and flexibility optimization.
Advanced proficiency in Python, SQL, and applied statistical methods (hypothesis testing, A/B testing, time series analysis, descriptive & predictive analytics).
Strong understanding of cloud development principles and core AWS components.
Proven experience leading complex, cross-functional analytical projects.
Excellent communication skills, with a track record of influencing stakeholders at all levels (including executive and customer-facing roles).
Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Hands-on knowledge of trading algorithms, optimization models, or market simulations.
Advanced data visualization capabilities (Grafana, Plotly, custom dashboards).
Strong technical foundation in energy storage systems (especially BESS).
Proven experience in creation of analytical platforms in close collaboration with engineering teams.
Familiarity with software development best practices.
You are mainly experienced with no-code BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) without strong coding skills.
You are not passionate about energy markets and their complexities.
