Data Engineer - Stream-Aligned Team - 3 months contract - Abu Dhabi

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain secure, scalable data pipelines using Databricks and Azure.
• Handle ingestion from diverse sources (files, APIs, streaming), data transformation, and quality validation.
• Collaborate with subsystem data science and product teams for ML readiness.

Skills & Experience

• Technical: Notebooks (SQL, Python), Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, ADLS/S3, job orchestration, APIs, structured logging, IaC (Terraform).
• Delivery: Trunk-based development, TDD, Git, CI/CD for notebooks and pipelines.
• Integration: Familiar with JSON, CSV, XML, Parquet, SQL/NoSQL/graph databases.
• Communication: Able to justify decisions, document architecture, and align with enabling teams.
